Musculoskeletal Manipulation Course: Approaching Musculoskeletal Problems Using Osteopathic Medicine

Ritz Carlton 1515 Third Street Cleveland, OH 44113

This course provides foundational assessment and treatment techniques for low back, thoracic, and neck pain using Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT). Often described as “Osteopathic Manipulation 101,” it is designed for novice MDs, experienced DOs who want a refresher, and osteopathic physicians seeking new approaches to teaching OMT concepts.

The program is divided into two parts. The first covers core OMT skills taught to DO and MD residents and attending physicians. The second is a faculty development module focused on teaching methods, effective supervision, and practical guidance for working with residents and students across disciplines.

An optional third day offers additional hands-on OMT training with regional faculty during the COAM January OMT Seminar on Sunday.

This course also serves as an excellent introduction for non-osteopathic students and attending physicians exploring ACGME Osteopathic Recognition programs. Seating is limited for this immersive, hands-on experience.

8 AOA Category 1-A Credits Offered
