National Osteopathic Medicine Week is here!
April 13-18
National Osteopathic Medicine Week is set for April 13-19, 2026. This annual celebration brings the osteopathic medical profession together to focus on one common goal: increasing awareness of osteopathic medicine and DOs in communities across the country.
The story of osteopathic medicine is one of remarkable growth and meaningful impact. Since 1935, the profession has grown by more than 158,000 DOs—reflecting the expanding role of osteopathic care across the nation.
DOs are in demand—and making a difference every day. Across the country, more than 167,000 osteopathic physicians and nearly 40,000 osteopathic medical students are delivering whole‑person care and strengthening communities.
Osteopathic medicine is rooted in a whole‑person approach—treating the body, mind, and spirit. This philosophy guides us as we care for patients and communities across the nation.
This National Osteopathic Medicine Week, we’re celebrating the Osteopathic Journey and the values that make it unique.
