Building a Stronger Membership

One Osteopathic Ohio is our call for every DO—member and non-member to unite in preserving the legacy of strong, fair representation that has protected osteopathic medicine in our state for decades. With nearly 9,000 licensed DOs in Ohio, our footprint is growing rapidly, and our collective voice must grow with it. Whether you’re a family physician or a specialist, we need every DO to stand with us as One Osteopathic Ohio to keep our profession visible, valued, and well-represented.

Quality Continuing Medical Education

The OOA, through its charitable arm—the Ohio Osteopathic Foundation—provides high-quality AOA Category 1-A CME at the Ohio Osteopathic Symposium, through webinars, and at adjacent meetings throughout the year. We also promote virtual options such as the VOC CME and The CME Center to ensure Ohio’s DOs have convenient, accessible pathways to stay current. Content is carefully curated to appeal to both Family Physicians and Specialists, ensuring every DO finds relevant, practical education to support their practice.

OOA Advocates for the Profession

The OOA champions Ohio’s DOs by organizing the 2025 DO Day at the Statehouse and providing testimony before House and Senate Health Committees on issues that shape osteopathic practice and patient care.

Support our Foundation

Support our PAC to ensure the OOA’s advocacy efforts remain strong—from attending key political fundraising events to engaging candidates who understand and value osteopathic medicine. While the OOPAC does not endorse candidates, it supports the issues that matter to DOs. Your contribution helps ensure our voice is heard and our profession is represented in every election cycle across Ohio.

VOC CME

The OOA partners with other state osteopathic associations to offer The VOCCME, a virtual program that offers 8 - 48 credits of CME that can be completed over nearly five months.
